All 4-H Contestants and activities will be supervised by committee of
extension officials, local 4-H leaders and 4-H Youth Council.
Conduct - any 4-H participants identified with liquor or illegal
drugs will be sent home, will forfeit all 4-H awards, premiums and
trips, and will appear before the appropriate disciplinary committee.
Any violations of rules pertaining to disorderly conduct, fighting,
insubordination, etc. will result in action taken by the appropriate
disciplinary committee.
GEORGE AND DOT BUTTERS MEMORIAL AWARD
$50.00 Savings Bond to the outstanding exhibitor.
These 4-H members will then fill out an application form to be handed in
to the Fair Office. This award will be based on: Number of entries in
the department, knowledge and care of their entries, enthusiasm,
cooperation, sportsmanship (definition: that person expressing dignity
and gracefulness in either losing or winning), helpfulness to fellow
4-H'ers and completed application form.
EXHIBIT INFORMATION
1. Rules - for all rules covering exhibits and eligibility refer to
the 4-H Policy Manual. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to know
and understand all rules and regulations. Unless specified, all exhibits
must conform to the same rules and regulations that apply to all other
departments at the Park County Fair.
2. In June, 1982, the 1940 agreement between Wyoming State Department of
Vocational Education and the Wyoming Agricultural Extension Service
involving 4-H and FFA youth was reviewed and amended to read as follows:
"If a boy or girl is enrolled in both 4-H and Vocational Agriculture or
Home Economics, work done must be different in each. For example: 4-H or
FFA members may carry the same type of supervised occupational
experience program in vocational agriculture or as a 4-H project, but
the exhibit must come from a supervised FFA program and the 4-H exhibit
must come from a 4-H project."
3. A project done in school should be eligible for display or show
through one, but only one organization. The member should be enrolled in
this project during the current year. The organization should be chosen
by the youth member.
4. Only bonafide Wyoming 4-H members are eligible to compete for prizes
offered in the 4-H division at County Fair. A member must be enrolled in
the project in which he/she exhibits and the exhibit must be the result
of the 4-H member's project during the 4-H year.
AGE DIVISION
1. Junior member 8, 9 & 10 as of January 1 of current year.
2. Intermediate member 11, 12 & 13 as of January 1 of current year.
3. Senior member 14 - 18 as of January 1 of current year. |
