RELEASE TIME: Sunday, July 27, 2008 between 5 and 6 p.m. Doors will be
locked at 6 p.m. YOU are responsible for exhibits left after that
time.
1. Agricultural exhibits must be grown in Park County and be the product of
2008 except in the case of corn, threshed forage and threshed grain, beans
and peas, which may be the product of 2007 or 2008; but must not have been
shown at any fair before. No exhibit shall be treated.
2. Premiums may not be awarded to inferior specimens or collections
even if there is no competition.
3. All threshed grain samples shall measure 2 quarts; grass clover and
alfalfa seed, 2 quarts; peas and beans, 2 quarts.
4. Sheaf forage for seed, "leaves should be stripped, "exhibit measured
and sheaf should be 2.5 inches in diameter at base of heads, except
alfalfa and sweet clover should measure three inches at butt of sheaf.
Sheaf forage for hay shall measure four inches except millets, sudan
and sorghums shall measure five inches minimum and eight inches
maximum. Oats must be clipped. Sheaves not meeting dimension
requirements will not qualify.
5. Information on how to prepare exhibits for show is listed on page viii.
6. Sugar beets should be topped. All green removed.
7. Use 1/2 inch cotton twill white tape for tying all sheaves.
8. Two entries per class per person unless otherwise stated.

DIVISION 1 -CORN
Each sample shall consist of 6 ears.
For the exhibitor in preparing his/her entry and for the judge, the
following points shall be considered:
CORN SCORE CARD
VARIETY, TYPE -true variety in size, shape and color of grain and cob

MATURITY AND CONDITION -each ear shall be mature and free from
disease and injured kernels -30%
UNIFORMITY -each ear shall conform to every other ear in the sample
in length, circumference, shape or kernels, color and indentation -20%

be considered:

Sheaf forage for seed, (leaves

three inches at butt of sheaf). Use 1/2 inch wide cotton twill tape
for tying all sheaves of hay and seed. For the exhibitor in preparing

Entries in this class shall consist of a portion of a bale not less
than 18 to 24 inches in length or two gallons of cubes. Entries must
be a portion of a standard machine bale and must be tied with two strings
or wire.

Each sample of potatoes shall consist of 12 potatoes.
For the exhibitor in preparing his/her entry and for the judge, the
following points shall be considered:

SIZE -commercial size 8-12 ounces preferable, overgrown tubers should
