1. NOTE: Read all General Rules and Regulations for Livestock before
making entry.
2. The times for the different livestock shows are listed in the front of
the book under Calendar of Events.
3. All bulls, over yearlings, must be shown with nose leads.
PARK COUNTY STEER FUTURITY
RULES
The Park County Steer Futurity will be open to youth exhibitors, showing
steers born and raised in Park County. The show will be held
concurrently with the regular market steer show. Winners will be
announced as soon as possible after the show. Exhibitors must submit a
qualification form signed by the producer from which the steer was
acquired. (Qualification forms can be picked up at the Fair Office or the
Cody Extension office.) The qualification form must verify that the steer is
born and raised in Park County. The qualification form must be turned in at
the regular market steer weigh in.
The Park County Steer Futurity is privately funded through contributions
from Park County Producers. The Futurity will be administered by a
board of directors and their decisions will be final.
BREEDING BEEF
The Open classes for the breeding beef show will follow immediately
after the same class in the JR shows. (For example: class 1 in the
breeding beef for the JR section will show then class 1 in the Open class
breeding beef section will show and so on.)
EXAMPLE OF ENTRY: To enter an English Cross bull born January
15, 2006 it would be entered as J-006-021

DIVISION 10 -SHOWMANSHIP 4-H
RULES
1. Showmanship contestants must own and show their own animal.
2. No boars, dairy bulls, beef bulls or billies will be allowed in
ANY 4-H Showmanship event.
3. When Juniors are in the show ring, Intermediates and Seniors can
bring their cattle to the ring clean and blown out, all other fittings must
take place in the show ring. While the Juniors are in the show ring, the
Intermediates need to be fitting their cattle and so on.
4. Intermediate and Senior contestants must fit their own animal. They are
entitled, with the aid of another 4-H or FFA member, for help.
5. Junior Champion in each species receives a Special Award and Rosette.
6. Intermediate Champion in each species receives a trip to the Wyoming
State Fair to represent Park County in the State Contest.
7. Senior Champion in each species wins a trip to the Wyoming State Fair to
represent Park County in the State Contest. Park County Farm Bureau
Federation will donate a belt buckle to the Grand Champion Senior 4-H
Showmanship.

1. BEGINNER: First and second year 4-Hers under 10. (This class
is for 4-Hers with limited prior experience one entry time only.)
2. JUNIOR: Age 8 -10 as of Jan. 1 of current year.
3. INTERMEDIATE: Age 11 -13 as of Jan. 1 of current year.
4. SENIOR: Age 14 and older as of Jan. 1 of current year.
