ALL employees are under the Park County Events Department, which has the authority to advertise, interview, hire and manage employees for the Park County Fair and other events. (*The Park County Fair Board does NOT have employees.)

All seasonal employees must be available to work nights & weekends. Strong work ethic, positive attitude & excellent customer service skills are required. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, adhere to dress code, & pass background check. Wages depend on experience & qualifications. Positions open until filled.

Grounds Crew Laborer
Full-Time. Some positions may be part-time.
(approximately June 1 – Aug 15, 2017, or as needed)


General labor in preparations, implementation and cleanup for events, including the Park county Fair. General upkeep and maintenance of facility and grounds as directed. Cleaning and preparation of exhibit halls, livestock barns, grandstand area, arenas, and other areas. Conduct all duties necessary to maintain the facility and fairgrounds in a clean, safe and operable condition. Works under general supervision of the Grounds Crew Supervisor. Generally does not supervise others. Over 18 years of age and graduation from high school or equivalent preferred, but not required. Valid driver's license preferred. Reliable transportation required. Ability to operate general maintenance / farm / ranch tools preferred. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills required. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and adhere to dress code.  Must pass background check.
Custodian
Full-time.
(approximately July 23 – July 31, 2017, or as needed)


Serve as general labor in preparation, implementation and cleanup for the Park County Fair and other events. General up-keep and maintenance of facility as direct by Custodial Supervisor. Cleaning and preparation of exhibit halls, public restrooms, food service and dining areas, meeting rooms, performance areas, and common public areas. Conduct all duties necessary to maintain the fairgrounds in a clean, safe and operable condition. Includes cleaning, maintaining  and sanitizing public restrooms, dining areas, exhibit halls, kitchens, meeting rooms, and other areas.  Works under the general supervision of the Custodial Supervisor. Generally does not supervise others. Must be at least 16 years of age; over 18 years of age preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Reliable transportation required. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills required. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and adhere to dress code. Must pass background check.
Gate Attendant
Part to Full-Time.
(some positions approximately July 26 – 29, 2017, or as needed)


Serve as the front-line sales and information representative for the Park County Fair. Provide excellent customer service in responding to event patrons at facility entrance gates. Perform duties related to the general operation of fate admittance and parking. Responsible for daily ticket sales reconciliation. The Gate Attendant welcome patrons, sells and collects tickets and passes at the fairgrounds entrances. Gate attendance are responsible to enforcing facility and event rules, being knowledgeable about fair information and providing outstanding customer service. Conduct all duties necessary to maintain the fair gate areas clean, safe and operable condition. Works under the general supervision of the Cash Vault Teller Supervisor. Generally does not supervise others. Must be at least 16 years of age; 18 years of age preferred. Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred. Cash handling experience and knowledge of hand-held devices preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Reliable transportation required. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills required. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and adhere to dress code. Must pass background check.
Security Guard
Part to Full-Time.
(approximately July 23 - July 31, 2017, or as needed)


Responsible for safety and security of exhibitors and their family members, event/fair patrons, staff, judges, clerks, superintendents, other volunteers, contractors including vendors, livestock, exhibits, equipment and facilities. General security of the fairgrounds facilities and the Park County Fair. Assist in identifying and minimizing risks. Conduct all duties necessary to maintain the fairgrounds in a clean, safe and operable condition. Works under general supervision of the Security Crew Supervisor. Generally does not supervise others. Must be at least 21 years of age. Graduation from high school or equivalent required. Must be TIPS Alcohol trained and certified within the past five years. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills required. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and adhere to dress code. Must pass background check.
