Kids Fun Zone
There will be plenty of activities for kids at the Park County Fair!
On Tuesday, 4-H is sponsoring an art project where kids get to do their own artwork at Bicentennial Hall. There are two classes for the art project (ages 4-7 and ages 8 -12) from 10:30 am to noon AND 1:30 pm to 3 pm. The public will judge their favorite artwork until Saturday at noon when the prizes will be awarded. The top boy and girl in each age group will be awarded a bike, while the second-place boy and girl in each age group will be awarded free carnival day passes.
On Wednesday, some of the fair superintendents will teach kids how to frost cookies and lead other culinary activities in Bicentennial Hall. Schedule will be posted on the entrance of Bicentennial Hall.
The Children's Resource Center is in charge of this year's Kids’ Day activities, which will be from 1-3 p.m. Rather than doing races, as the Powell Kiwanis did in the past, the Children’s Resource Center will host a whole assortment of art activities Thursday afternoon. Kids can do bubble painting, make a birdseed feeder or pot a plant to take home. From Tuesday through Saturday, Polestar Outdoors will feature free safety shooting and archery ranges for kids of all ages in the grassy area on the west side of Bicentennial Hall. Across from Polestar Outdoors stop by and see The Cowgirl Trick Show. Performances will be held daily at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Over the Top Stilt Characters can be found at various times roaming the grounds. Don’t miss A Magical Journey with Stirrup Some Fun & Ole Doc EZee & Disgo free shows on the Pepsi Stage in the open air pavilion. The Hanson Family singers, Rewinders, Cowley Boys, Stomp & Company and Absaroka Mountain Thunder will also be appearing on the Pepsi Stage.
