ARRIVAL NO LATER THAN: Wednesday, July 23 at 12 p.m.
RELEASE TIME: Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 6 a.m.

SHOW DATE: Production Ewe Class will follow immediately after
the Market Lamb Show. Breeding Sheep Show will begin following
Production Ewe Class. Break in the Ewe Breeding Show, Pee Wee will begin at 1:00 p.m., after the break, the balance of Sheep Breeding Show will follow.

1. THE PARK COUNTY FAIR WILL NOT CONDONE BRACING OF LAMBS DURING ANY PARK COUNTY FAIR CONTESTS.  THE FOLLOWING RULE WILL BE ENFORCED AT THE 2008 FAIR. NO LIFTING, SLAPPING, OR USE OF ABUSIVE FORCE TO STIMULATE BRACING OF LAMBS WILL BE TOLERATED!!!
2. NOTE: Read all General Rules and Regulations for Livestock before making entry.
3. The times for the different livestock shows are listed in the front of the book under Calendar of Events.
4. No Champion WILL BE awarded UNLESS there are 3 animals in the Division.
5. Youth Exhibitors entering Livestock can only enter each animal as youth or open class but not both.  Youth's animals will be allowed to show in open class provided there is an open class animal showing in that class.  In the event that there is no animal in that class, the youth's animal will be  allowed to show in the open class "Any Other Recognized Breed" show.
6. Only one (1)show ring
7. Show order for market lamb classes will begin with white face lambs, then speckle face lambs, and then concluding with black face lambs.
8. Show order for breeding sheep classes will begin with white face breeds then conclude with black face breeds.

DIVISION 46 -MARKET SHEEP
Judged on the American System.
1. On the day of weigh-in the lambs will be assigned to their class upon the basis of their predominant color.
2. All Market lambs must be shorn within 30 days of the show.
3. Lambs must weigh 110 pounds, any weighing under will be shown as feeders.  No weighbacks allowed.  Classes will be established using natural or logical weight breaks.
4. Weigh in will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
5. Premiums will be paid on the American System.

DIVISION 47 -SHEEP PRODUCTION
1. Pick up information and form packet at the Extension Office before show day.  Animals are judged on conformation of ewes and lambs if shown, wool production, gainability feed conversion and records.

1st -10.00; 2nd -8.00; 3rd -6.00; 4th -4.00
Class: 
1. Commercial Ewe along with records required
2. Purebred Ewe along with records required

DIVISION 48 -ORPHAN LAMBS
1. Orphan Lambs must be weighed on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10 a.m. Orphan Lambs weighing under 110 pounds cannot show in Market Lamb Classes and are not eligible for sale in the Junior Livestock Sale.
2. Orphan Lambs over 110 pounds may be selected to be shown in Market Lamb Section or in Orphan Lamb Section, but not in both sections
3. Classes will be established using natural or logical weight breaks.

DIVISION 49 -SHOWMANSHIP
RULES

1. Showmanship contestants must own and show their own animal.
2. No boars, dairy bulls, beef bulls or billies will be allowed in ANY 4-H Showmanship event.
3. Junior Champion in each species receives a Special Award and Rosette.
4. Intermediate Champion in each species receives a trip to the Wyoming State Fair to represent Park County in the State Contest.
5. Senior Champion in each species wins a trip to the Wyoming State Fair to represent Park County in the State Contest.
Park County Farm Bureau Federation will donate a belt buckle to the Grand Champion Senior 4-H Showmanship.

Class: SHEEP
1. BEGINNER: First and second year 4-Hers under 10. (This class is for

3. INTERMEDIATE: Age 11 -13 as of Jan. 1 of current year.
4. SENIOR: Age 14 and older as of Jan. 1 of current year.

DIVISION 50-BEST FITTED SHEEP
1. Sheep must be fitted by the 4-H member.
2. Sheep must be owned and shown by the contestant.
3. Contestant may be required to demonstrate fitting skills.

1st -10.00; 2nd -8.00; 3rd -6.00; 4th -4.00
